Create Links from Text

To create a link from text.
'
1 - Select the Text using your curser. Picture_5.png

2 - Click the link tool Picture_6.png in the editor tool bar.

Enter the url (address) of the site or page you wish to link to in the "link address" box in the lower portion of the Editor toolbar window.

4 - Click the ok button Picture_8.png

Your text now appears as a link  WildFireWeb


Create a Link using an Image

To create a link from an image.
'
1) Click on the image on your page to select it  Picture_11.png

2) Click the link tool Picture_6.png in the editor tool bar.

3) Enter the url (address) of the site or page you wish to link to in the "link address" box in the editor window.

4) Click the ok button Picture_8.png

Your image is now link


Linking to other Tablets in your site

In your browser, navigate to the page that you want to link to (the destination page)

Look at the url in the address bar of your browser. The address will look something link this:

http://webteacherpro.com/webteacherpro/help.html?bpid=7027

Copy the url (address)
You only need the last part of the url to create the link, everything after the last /

If we were linking to this help page from another page of the site we would copy help.html?bpid=7027

Next, Navigate to the the page where you want to add your link (the referring page). This can be any other page in your site.

Create the Text or add an image to the page to use for your link

Select the text or image


Click here to link to Help with creating links

Select the Link tool from the editor tool bar Picture_6.png and type or paste in the url you copied from the destination page

Click the "OK" button Picture_8.png

Your Text (or image) is now a link to your destination page.

Link to uploaded files

You can use the built in File Manager to upload and link to files of many types, Word documents, Excel and Powerpoint files, PDF's, MP3 audio files, Quicktime movies and more. In the example below, we are demonstrating how to upload and link to  a PDF file. The process is the same for most other file types.

Use the File Manager to upload and link to a PDF file.

1) Place your cursor on the page where you want your uploaded file to appear.

2) Click the FileManager Picture_3.png icon in the Editor toolbar

This opens the File Manager window.

2) Click the "Browse" button Picture_19.png

3) Navigate to the correct file on your computer and click once on the filename to select it

5) Click the "Upload Files" button in the File Manager

Depending on the size and type of your file, it may take several minutes for the file to appear in the File Manager window.

6) Once the file appears in the list, click once to select the file

7) Click the "Ok" button in the File Manager window

This places a link to the file in the content area where you placed your cursor.

You can select the file name and change the text or formatting using the editor toolbar. You will notice that the Editor automatically date, time and size stamps the file, you may choose to keep or remove this information as desired.
